It Started With Friends and a Love of Dance.
Some communities are built around a table. Ours was built on a dance floor.Dance Social Connect began with a group of friends who shared a love for dancing, music and simply spending time together. What started as a way to enjoy an evening with friends gradually became something much bigger—a growing community where people could move, laugh, meet new people and feel connected.
As DSC grew, so did the vision. We saw that dance could do more than create a great night out. It could encourage wellness, lift spirits, create lasting friendships and bring people from different walks of life together. And we realized that the same community forming on the dance floor could also become a force for good beyond it.
That vision led Dance Social Connect to become a nonprofit organization dedicated to strengthening community wellness, connection and inclusion while finding meaningful ways to support the community around us.
Building DSC has required countless volunteer hours, perseverance and a genuine commitment from people who believed in what it could become. Every volunteer, instructor, sponsor, donor and participant has helped write another chapter of that story.
Today, DSC is about more than dancing.
It’s about the person who walks in not knowing anyone and leaves with new friends.
It’s about staying active while doing something you genuinely enjoy.
It’s about laughing, learning and sharing experiences together.
And it’s about taking the energy created in that room and using it to make our community a little stronger.
